Phoebe, 22
Cabinetmaking apprentice in Adelaide. Most of my week smells like cedar shavings and sawdust, but outside the workshop you'll usually catch me on the ultimate frisbee pitch, testing out tiny gouache landscape sketches on offcut wood, or pulling over for roadside farm stalls selling stone fruit.
About me
• Trade: Joinery & cabinetmaking • Base: Adelaide, SA • Wardrobe staples: Sturdy shorts, work boots, and anything cobalt or apricot • Current fixation: Finding the crispiest roadside peaches in the hills
What I enjoy
• Fast-paced team disc games on breezy evenings • Making small, sturdy things with my hands • Quiet backroads and honest bakery stops • Straight shooters who know what they want and can laugh easily
Q&A: Ideal Sunday morning?
Grabbing a flat white, driving up into the hills to check out roadside fruit crates, and sitting on a tailgate painting a tiny view before the heat kicks in.
